RJ Lead Group vs The Launchpad: Inbound Calls Compared
Both of us sell live inbound insurance calls and both of us say the calls are not resold. Here is where the two products actually differ.
By Ryan St. George, Founder, RJ Webworks LLC
A lot of agents who call us have taken calls from The Launchpad, so this comparison comes up weekly. It deserves a straight answer rather than a sales pitch, and that starts with what they do well.
What The Launchpad is
The Launchpad sells inbound final expense calls to licensed agents. You fund a wallet, set your licensed states, pick a campaign and take calls through a softphone in your browser. There is no monthly subscription and you can pause when you want. Their site says calls come straight from their own sources and are never resold. It is a focused product and plenty of agents like it.
Where we are the same
- Pay per billable call, with no monthly fee and no contract.
- Prepaid balance, so you never run up a bill you did not agree to.
- Every call recorded, and disputes reviewed against the recording.
- Calls routed only to the states you are licensed in.
Where we differ
The first difference is who the product is built for. The Launchpad is built around one agent at one softphone. Ours is built around a roster. You assign calls by agent, by vertical or by state set, give each agent their own hours, weight the split so your closer takes more, and cap how many calls the account takes at once. If you run a room, or you are recruiting and want the phones covered while you do it, that is the part that matters.
The second is what you can buy. The Launchpad is final expense only. We run live calls on final expense, Medicare and Spanish, and we sell real-time and aged data leads from the same account, so the hours your agents are not on a call are not empty.
The third is how plainly the billing terms are written down. Ours are published: a call bills only after 10 seconds connected on a standard call and 30 seconds on a high intent call, the same caller inside 30 days is not billed, and wrong-number or non-qualifying calls are credited on review of the recording. Whichever vendor you use, ask for those three numbers in writing before you fund a balance.
Price
Our calls are $45 per billable call, or $70 for higher-intent callers in the market for a new policy. The Launchpad sells several call types and shows pricing inside the account rather than on the public site, so compare on your own numbers: price per billable call, the length of the buffer before a call bills, and what happens to duplicates.
Who should pick which
If you are a solo final expense agent who wants to log in, go live and take calls in a browser, The Launchpad is a reasonable fit. If you have more than one agent, write more than final expense, or want calls and data from one source with the rules published, that is what we built.
About us
RJ Lead Group is the insurance brand of RJ Webworks LLC, which was buying media across insurance, home services, legal, medical and financial before this brand existed. We run the ad accounts, own the tracking numbers and operate the phone system the calls pass through. We do not buy calls from a network and we do not resell anyone else's.
Common questions
Is RJ Lead Group cheaper than The Launchpad?
It depends on the call type you are comparing. Our price is public: $45 per billable call, or $70 for the high intent tier. Compare it against the price, buffer and duplicate rules on the campaign you are running today.
Can I use both at once?
Yes. Neither of us requires a contract. Running both for two weeks against the same agents is the fairest test there is.
Do you offer calls outside final expense?
Yes. Live calls run on final expense, Medicare and Spanish today. Veteran and mortgage protection call campaigns are in build.
Do I need special software to take your calls?
No. Calls ring the agents on your roster according to the routing rules and hours you set in the dashboard.
Are your calls resold or shared?
No. The caller is responding to an ad we bought and dialing a number we own. We do not buy calls from a network or pass them on to one.
Take calls from both for a fortnight and keep the one that writes more premium per dollar. That is the only comparison that counts.
